Manelle loves to capture the feel of a place with her watercolors through lighting and composition. She is constantly in awe of the beautiful world surrounding us and can’t wait to help you immortalize your favorite places with an original watercolor painting. 

Manelle has been working as a professional illustrator and watercolorist for 20 years. She’s illustrated multiple children’s books and is excited to share these custom paintings with you.  

Ordering Your Painting

• Use the buttons below to upload up to three photos of a single scene. (If you don’t see them, give it a few seconds to load.) Manelle will choose the best one by considering lighting, pose, and composition to create your portrait.
• You must own the copyright to the photos (If you took them yourself, that counts.) By uploading and ordering you grant me permission to use them to create the painting and in videos of the artwork creation. You’ll still have the copyright to your image, but the copyright to the finished painting belongs to me.
• The best photos will be in focus and have good lighting. Pictures of you or your loved ones posing are a great way to remember your trip, but they don’t make a good painting. If your scene has people, it’s better if they are in motion. (walking shopping etc.) Because that helps tell the story of the place. Sunsets also make beautiful photos but not good paintings. See photo examples in this post for help in choosing your photos.
• How do I tell if it’s a cityscape or a landscape? Cityscape images mostly contain buildings. Landscapes may have buildings, but they will mostly be land.
